  1. How do I enroll my child?

a.    When you decide to enroll your child in our national home school program, call us at 864-840-9472, and lets talk.  You can read the information but a good one on one conversation will help ease your mind and allow us to walk you through our enrollment process.  We will talk with you and initiate placing your child in our system.  We will need certain documentation to keep in our file by law.  These will be a permanent part of your child's file with us and will never leave.  We are required by law to keep these files forever, unless in the event you request to remove your child to another school.  You can click our "Enroll My Child" button on the left and it will provide the steps necessary for enrollment.

b.    These documents will need to be readable copies.

c.    These are the documents we will need:

    1.    A copy of your HS diploma or G.E.D if your state requires it.

    5.    A copy of legal papers designating you as the child's legal guardian.

Why should I choose I C Faith Ministries?

I C Faith Ministries was opened with the belief and concept that each child should be taught with a Christian educational system.  Where biblical truths can be brought in to the daily learning process as our Bible tell us, no, commands us in Deut. Chapter 6.

We believe a home school provides certainties that a public school can not.

    No access to drugs

If you asked your child, if they have ever known or seen a child that either used drugs or sold drugs right on the public school grounds, you might be very surprised in their answer. Over 90% of the children that attend a public school system has seen this.

    No access to violence

We have seen now, time after time, where a public school system was violated with a student who has brought a deadly firearm into their school and caused harm even death to another person.

    No access to alcohol

Unfortunately, children bringing in or having access to alcohol on public school grounds has increased over the years.

Access to the best bible based educational curriculum

From its beginning, Accelerated Christian Education has maintained high Biblical and academic standards and remained committed to setting children on a path for success. The goal is the same today: to prepare children for the world today and give them the academic and spiritual tools necessary to achieve their God-given potential.

Accelerated Christian Education's concepts are based on the following Five Basic Laws of Learning:

  • A child must be at a level where he can perform.
  • He must have reasonable goals.
  • His learning must be controlled, and he must be motivated.
  • His learning must be measurable.
  • His learning must be rewarded.

Access to a parent/child closeness, a bonding, a public school can not provide

When your watching your child setting their goals for the next day, seeing the accomplishments they achieved that day, and after a pace test, be able to see the high percentage of material retained after your child completes a pace.

This is something you just can't get enough of.  This is something that can only be shared by you and your child.  Your being able to have direction in their life, and seeing your child working towards an independency they can and will be proud of.

Access to a knowledge of where your child is with their learning.

Every day you spend with your child, you are directly responsible to overseeing where your child is educationally.  Whereas, in a public school system, you are indirectly in control of what is taught and what your child retained.

How will you know my child's knowledge level?

When we enroll your child with I C Faith Ministries, we will have your child take an online test called a Diagnostics Test (Children already utilizing School of Tomorrow can forgo this).  This test will tell us what he/she has retained and where they do not remember.  The results of this test will determine where we will place your child in each subject.

Unlike the public school system, where all the children in the class are taught at the same level, same speed, regardless if they have retained the concepts or not.  This is where we are completely different.  Our school is based on independent learning, meaning your child will be learning at their rate, not some predestinated national decision of where your child should be at.

With the results of the Diagnostic Testing, your child will be placed where we know they understand in each subject.  This way they start knowing the material, feeling confident, and they move ahead faster.  Years and years of seeing this work, seeing children moving faster and retaining more by independent learning is what has shown the increase of home school students every year.

Does home school with I C Faith Ministries mean you're the teachers?

Absolutely not.  The parent or legal guardian of the child is always the teacher.  Think of us as your resource.  We are there to provide you with the biblical educational material, to assist you with maintain transcripts and grading tests, helping you to know how your child is progressing.  We are a tool for the parent.  We are the parent's foundation.  The parent is always the teacher and completely responsible for their child's educational needs.

We understand, there are many responsibilities with home school.  We try to assist the parent, so the parent can focus on total education time with their child rather than sharing that time having to complete the paperwork.

What is the legal requirement for home school in my state?

We are not attorneys by any means and you are required to do your own research on the laws of your state for home school.  We do have a page that you can look up the laws that we have obtained from other home school teams.  Your more than welcome to click the button and look at them, but we advise you to make sure these are right and no updates have been added.

Are you accredited?

This is probably the most important question you will want to ask any private school.

    Why?

Being accredited means, the material being used has been accepted and will be accepted by the college that your child will attend.

We use Accelerated Christian Education and will never use anything else.  A.C.E. has received full accreditation from the Commission on International and Trans-regional Accreditation (CITA) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) as of January, 2003.

Here is a partial list of the colleges that accept graduates using A.C.E. material.

Why does it only cost $35.00 for Annual Registration with IC Ministries?

We believe you have enough expenses already.  The last thing you need is to have to budget or cut cost in other places to try and provide a quality education for your children.  We want to help you in every way we can.  Its the Christian thing to do.
