Our Story

    I C Faith Ministries was brought into concept quite a few years back in the mid 1990's while I was an Administrator at another private Christian Academy here in South Carolina, actually just 18 miles away.  I approached the Senior Pastor of the concept of virtual global home-schooling and was not approved due to their overhead costs would not allow this to take place as they had staff they needed to pay, utilities, and other related costs.  So at the time I C Faith was put on the back burner.  Years had past, I had left the school to seek a more promising financial future working for companies.  Then in 2008 while owning a simple drive-thru BBQ restaurant, our patrons continued suggesting we open a full restaurant so they could come in and enjoy our food.  In August 2008, I found our present location and my partner (Ms. Joyce Smith) and I purchased it.  During the remodeling phase, I believe it was February of 2009, we ran out of money about the same time the recession really took over America.  We didn't know at this time what a blessing this was as we were only seeing this in the view of the world.  Well, at this point, we had a beautiful property and 3 large buildings attached to each other that had been 80% renovated inside and it sat there staring at me being as useless as could be.  Each day I drove from my house just a mile away and sat there staring at the property and building.  About 98% of our profits were gone and we were at a standstill.  Each day and night I prayed, asking God, why would he provide this then have it dead stop when we're so close to completion. For months, I prayed over and over, what do You want Father?  Why am I at this point?  What am I not seeing?  I was depressed, the building just sat there, not being used and we had closed down the drive-thru that was successful and at worse, the recession was in full pace and no jobs to be had.  For years, I had jumped into the World mode of day to day life and it wasn't until 4 months later in May 2009, He answered me.  It was a simple answer, "I C Faith". He waited to answer me when the time was right.  No job, no debt, and no money was the perfect time to give all of me to Him.  As simple the answer had been, it was huge in my soul as I realized, it was the perfect time.  From that moment, all questions were answered, and I called Ms. Joyce.  Told her He answered my prayers, hurry and come down, as she lived 26 miles away.  When Ms. Joyce arrived I must have had a smile from ear to ear, tears running down my cheeks, as happy as I ever could have been.  She barely got out of her car when I blurted out what we were going to do.  We are going to run a new business and never make a dime!  I think at that very second, Ms Joyce, was ready to commit me. She let me explain and I knew it hit her like it did me.  As crazy as running a business to specifically not make money sounded, it was the right way to proceed.  We didn't want to be a non-profit business as we wanted to give unto Caesar what was Caesar's and in addition, by being non-profit our government had more control than I wanted them to have.  Little was needed to complete the buildings into offices, we could sell all of the commercial cooking equipment to use it to purchase the license, materials and office equipment. So we did just that.  We contacted ACE, had the necessary meetings, procured the agreements between ACE and I C Faith in time to open at the beginning of the 2009 school year.  Now how was we going to let everyone know, we are here?  We couldn't spend thousands on advertising as we didn't have it.  Why not, let Ebay do it for us!  So from a little auction, selling paces at a discounted price, one by one we enrolled students.  Started slowly at first, progressed faster in 2010, then 2011 it was a storm of enrollments as parents referring us way outnumbered the referrals from Ebay.  Now, in our 3rd year, we are the largest virtual home-school academy in existence. In keeping our promise to Him, we have not accepted a dime in profit or payment to ourselves.  Over the years, we had our growing pains, found better ways to make the wheel round, and more creative ways to serve many with just two people.  Our ministry has expanded with www.igotsit.com and www.u-got-2-see-this.com and we just purchased www.pvc-creations.com . These ministries provide profits to assist us in the other legs of our ministry such as Christian Saints of South Carolina, etc. When we are diligent and ask, God will answer us, not in our time, but in His.  God bless to all.

I C Faith Ministries has been working in the homeschooling since 2009 providing curriculum, homeschooling support, advocacy, and educational assistance.

I C Faith Ministries is open to all homeschooling families in all 50 states as their legal accountability option. The director and board members are comprised of Christian volunteers that adhere to our Statement of Faith.  In all that we do, we aim to glorify God and exemplify a Godly example.

I C Faith Ministries was formed to assist the families in every state that have chosen to educate at home. The laws in every state provide for each family to have the legal option to home school. The role of each parent/teacher is held with the highest regard and allow for each parent/teacher to make the best decisions for their own child(ren) with regards to testing, curriculum choices, social outlets etc.

I C Faith Ministries will assist you to obtain your legal status and offer many outlets for you and your child(ren) during the year. Knowing that there are no two home schooling families alike, I C Faith Ministries respects and allows each family to make their own choices and decisions regarding the needs of their child(ren).

I C Faith Ministries offers academic transcripts for all students, including High School Transcripts at no additional cost.

Our ultimate goal for your child’s education is that of a successful one. We believe that each child should have the opportunity for educational excellence and parents should be afforded the tools to make it possible at an affordable cost to all.
